Alternative Method to Spiritbond Item Binding

Seeing as this point was not expounded upon, I would like to propose a tweak to this system.

In Vindictus an item binding system is used, but an item is allowed to be unbound up to 3 times.

After certain conditions, a piece of equipment will gain bind counts. Unbind Potions must be used to reduce the bind count to 0, thus unbinding it, before the item can be traded to other players again through the Marketplace or Mailbox.

There is a limit to the amount of times that an item can be unbound, as stated by the item's unbind count. If a player receives an item with no more unbind counts remaining, he/she will never be able to unbind it and give it away again. Every piece of equipment starts at 3 unbind counts.

Should FF14 use a system like this?

The only change I think they should make is make it so binding occurs when spiritbond is full, not greater than zero- then you can trade it (which resets the spirit bond) until you've attached materia.
