Monster Fishing/Boogieman in the bushes/Giant worm in your mine

I have read through most of the posts from the developers the changes being brought to the gathering and crafting classes and I am excited to see the changes.

As an avid gather in my LS down time I feel it would be interesting to see these things again and it may limit some of those ”blkajsdfoiwlkj” named characters from mindlessly wondering about without harm.

Also there was something about pulling up a big freaking monster on a boat.

I'm having trouble wrapping my head around what your trying to say.

In your LS, you are avid DoL fan, and you feel the announced changed will somehow limit people from using names like, ”blkajsdfoiwlkj”.
(How so? From my direct memory I have no clue how SE intends to tackle obscured Picasso names from their game.)

You are also anticipating the return of fishing up mobs on the boats/ferries from FFXI.
(Well this is understood but it felt like it was just tacked on randomly off topic.)

Not to be rude, but it felt too condensed for me to understand it.

I know one of the new changes that I'm looking forward to regarding the DoL is the fact the world is different, which means for reason to play DoL to explore it. In addition I don't have to worry about my nodes being consumed by a third-party as each node is reliant on each players character.

And just to tack on my own random comment, I still can't decide on going Lalafell or stay Miqo'te T_T

It's simple. He wants there to be a risk or danger associated with Gathering. IE you're whacking away at a tree and something jumps out at you and attacks.

Ahh, like how the Wolves in Twelveswood always messed up my gathering there.

I'd like to see it everywhere.. Especially since we have enemies like Squirrels.

Since we can't change class in combat, I think we would need a warning message to pop so you can call a friend.

It could be nice for special content that involve DoL. Or maybe limiting it to few dangerous zones, with very very rare materials (Mor Dhona or Coerthas).

I was hoping there would be NMs that could only be spawned by fishing, or gathering in general. This doesn't need to occur everywhere, but in designated spots. Sort of like the Urganite on the Manaclipper.

WoW had raid bosses that were specifically fished up. One of them even required you to get hammered on alcohol and then fish it up.

Yes please. If the gathering mechanic ends up being terrible, then at least my favourite class can be saved by having lots of interesting stuff put in.

the thing is, since DoL is a job by it self, and only has the crappy rock to attack. it would be a problem if it come engaged in fight to the gatherer, and if it doesn't so we can change jobs to fight it, how would that limit the RMTs?
