I don't remember Bahumut using an attack that looked like that in previous games...mostly just mega flare and slight variations of that.

seeing how ffxiv is other universe i don't think he can learn a attack then come in ffxiv and use it. also this part "deals heavy non-elemental magic damage to all targets"

i know there was somewhere that yoshi-p said that it was Mega Flare also but not very sure right now but it have to be that attack. Seeing how bahamut from ffxiv is not the same from the other games.

Dude, Gamble was just pointing out the vast similarities between the two moves, XIV's Megaflare is unlike any other Megaflare up to now (they've always been solid, very large, beams).

It's not really that uncommon to find similar attacks, but it's always neat, plus some styles are very common and pervasive anyway, I could drum up a space anime that has something VERY similar to that as well (Vandread).

Don't you mean they over thinking it? to me when i first saw it i called it megaflare but ya both moves look the same just one blue and the other red lol i just trying to give out facts lol seeing how the topic is called bahamut is a blue mage i thought that what this topic was getting at my bad lol leave it at that then,
