EU account NA game
Hello
I have a question about the region of my SE account and the region of FFXIV on the PS3.
I live in Argentina, and due to the fact that the game was hard to find in here and those places who had it was very overpriced, I got a friend to buy 1 copy for me in the UK and ship it to me (it sounds insane, but it was about 1/5 of the value of what they were charging me). Since all games that are on retail in Argentina come from the US, I had a NA SE account for FFXI. But when i tryed to use that account with FFXIV, it told me that since the game was from the UK, i needed an UK account. My question is, would i be able to use my UK account on a NA PS3 vertion of FFXIV, or would i have to get a FFXIV for PS3 from the UK as well?
If anyone have a piece of info on this matter that i missed, i'd apreciate it if they could share it.
Thanks

if they keep the region lock thing then yes you have to get a UK version of the PS3. The ps3 itself is not region lock but if they keep the SE account region lock i think the code would be also.

As Zenaku said, the PS3 itself is not region locked, it really comes down to what SE plans to do, if they release different clients for each region then you would probably need a EU client for your EU account. Creating an EU PSN account should solve this issue, but i personally don't think they will go to all that trouble. For the server transfers they said they would not lock the servers by region because there are non JPs who live in Japan and vice versa so i think say thing applies here.
