HASTE SPELL

will haste spell make his place into the game?

haste: Attack speed+30% Recast timers -20%

note: as on others FF titles also haste can short casting time...
but i know this is ask too much...


make it like lv40WHM will be a basic spell cos if they add Garuda summon they must think on hastega for summoner... as buff setup

The devs have said many times that they see no need for players to be able to cast haste.

Not under current circumstances anyway.

Under the existing battle system, Haste would have the potential to break the game entirely. We'll need to see more of ARR before we can consider its future plausibility.

Weren't they talking about haste on gear? but really if SE feel they dont want to implement Haste the same way as they did in XI i'm sure they can find a new way to implement it should they want to.

Abilities/Traits that shorten cooldowns or speed up Autoattack would serve the purpose of haste, I guess.

well implemented into gear will make people stalk on specific gear sets only for haste and also make people want to be macroing gear for bonus effects but if they implemented as a spell all whms lv40 can haste party member tanks and dd

this will be a nice improvement cause a good pt setup usualy for raids has 2 whms main healer and backup...
soo its something to do for backup to fell usefull cause they only need as healer for DDs usually

i know haste is supposed to be a red mage or Time mage spell
but is also a supplementary spell for whms

The need or not for the existance of Haste in any form is entirely contingent on the way the devs make the game.
As it is, with offensive abilities existing on a global cooldown and support abilities having their own separate ones Haste as a GCD reducer does not appears to have a need to exist, the other limiting factor of ability usage is the degree of TP generation, it could theoretically be how Haste works but speeding up TP generation over time.

That said, White Mage is sufficiently well structured and definitely has no further need for alteration, it is the healing specialization of the Conjurer, but we are yet to see what will Arcanist bring to the table, if memory serves me well they are a buff/debuff specialist so it could find a home there, if it needs to exist at all.

Oh I don't know... regen the tank, stone skin the party, cast protect, esuna if needed, nuke.... White mages are way busier than you seem to think they are.

As to haste....it most def. Should not be a white mage spell. There is nothing restorative about it, nor does it belong within the school of conjury. Haste, if ever given, makes most sense belonging to a dd role like bard. If it was a bard song, parties would have to choose between haste and other buffs like paeon...allowing the game balance to remain more stable. Keep in mind, new level caps and jobs are coming.

Haste would be a must have spell to have in party, practically giving the job/class that can cast it a guaranteed party spot. It limits group diversity, breaks the game (encounters balanced around near 100% haste uptime on DPS), and in general causes balance problems.

It does not belong in FFXIV, at least in the classical sense (such as keeping a party haste'd constantly). It could work as an emergency burst dps cooldown for a caster class (self target only).
