There's an app for that.
Since there's been a lot of talk about using other devices like a phone or the ps vita with the game, what kind of phone apps would people like to see made for the game? I can think of a few such as one that let's me check on my retainers and manage their bazaars and items. There was also some talk of being able to raise our chocobos from a phone app.
Also, depending on the market system the game uses, I'd love to be able to buy and sell stuff with an app and not be limited to just viewing the market in game.
What other ideas do you all have?

CK companion has some good stuff on it already but checking the markets and if retainers sold anything would be nice also

Whats going to suck is if we need our keychain rng to access a mobile device.. I hate taking that thing anywhere due to the possibility of leaving it somewhere or losing it

Deffinitely chat option. Though the mention of private message exchange was already mentioned, I would love to see/have that.

I have the opinion hat any use of an app to check or interact with something in-game while your character is sleeping in the tavern or in the middle of nowhere, should be backed with a little plot and not "it's magic ain't gotta explain s**t", like a special pearl developed by Cid or magicite or something, and to be able to use it you have to do a simple series of missions to obtain access to it.

Plans for possible Apps were mentioned back in November 2011 (e.g. Live Letter II):
- App for viewing and organizing inventory
- App for searching and purchasing items directly from the market
(Yoshida said that this will be a "separate auction house system specifically for the app")
- App to access Housing to perform tasks such as Chocobo Breeding and Farming [Gardening?]
I don't know how this can be done without granting huge advantages to people that use these applications compared to the people that don't.
Some players might focus on the App AH only, as items are sold much faster there. This is a huge problem imo.
Looking for more sources on that topic atm.
