FFXIV:ARR Benchmark questions.

I remember they said there will be "two" benchmarks, one before Beta and one before the final release. I'm just curious about a couple things. :confused:

1. Will the first Benchmark be open to the public or just for thoese who are lucky enough to get into Beta?

2. Even when the 'first' Benchmark is released, will it be under a NDA too if it's just for the chosen players to play closed beta?

Benchmarks are always released freely for anyone.

It's a benchmark.

Thinking first one is to check for system specs and the second one for character creation to upload into ARR. If you still have your character data on your pc from 1.0, you can use that to edit your characters.

Yup first one is the classic benchmark with a tour through the game graphics and the second will be character creation for you to mess around

^exactly what was stated by SE previously. The 2nd benchmark also will let you save the character you make, so once ARR is released you can use that look for your next character.

The character creation one seems more like a demo than a benchmark. >.>
