Merlwyb, Kan-E, Raubahn, Cid: Dead or Alive?

Soo what do you think? Did they eat a megaflare to the face or they managed to get away with their skins somehow?

Personally I'm pretty sure the devs will save at least Cid. He's a rather iconic characters of the FF series, so I doubt ARR won't have him.

I'm a bit more worried about the leaders of the Grand Companies, as personally I really liked them all.

Come on Yoshi-P. Drop us a hint? :D

I think the GC leaders were confirmed as alive. Cid is too important to die.

Now as for the Circle of Knowing's Yda, Papalymo, Y'shtola, and Thancred...only god knows.. :| Yoshi-P is tightlipped about it!

I'd be surprised if they weren't. The GCs will still exist in 2.0, and I can't imagine the companies without them.

I'm guessing Louisoix is the only one who officially bit the bullet. Bless his soul.

I missed it too but I've seen it brought up several times before. I'll do some digging around and see if I can find the source.

Unless it flew past too quick for you to see, all of Eorzea was ravaged, it's how they're explaining the world change so they could have died, could have lived, no one really knows until beta maybe when they start adding in actual content.

Cid didn't help us in the battle he was just watching us trying to stop Dalamud from happening. He deserves to die and was responsible to build more warships! >_>

My favorite Cid is from FF7.

Actually we already saw that at least Gridania has been left pretty much untouched by the disaster, as the new Grid is very similar to the old one in the movies they shown.

In the trailer itself the three city states seem to be suffering very little damage, as the attacks of Bahamut hit all around them, but not much inside them, and Yda, Papalymo, Y'shtola, and Tancred were all in the places where you meet them during Living on a Prayer, inside the cities. Considering their location, I would say it would make very little sense for them to die, especially compared to the GC leaders that were a lot more in harm's way.

Um, I actually worry about Limsa and Uldah ;/ I mean...Limsa pretty much took it in the face..not so much from falling meteors as from the tidal waves that erupted from them ><

And Uldah took some hits too, so... Thancred ;-;
