Why waste your time on doing maintenance on the old servers when your resources are needed on the upcoming ARR servers? Just let the old servers die in peace.

It was likely already scheduled but if anything it could also be an analytical nature too since they did say it wasn't going to receive maintenance work or updates...so ..

They're coming down no questions about it though.

I hope they consolidate servers if they do end up leaving them up.

they are going to unplug the server switch on purpose and go something weird happened, we can't get the current version servers back!! sry and close them for good...

Or just check in the log in rate and go "Well... guess my job here is done!" and spill coffee all over the system.

I'm doing my part by not playing FFXIV 1.0. Waste of resources for SE.

Well they DID say they would monitor world activity and re-assess keeping the servers up at the end of each month...

Well what if they were shutting down servers for lack of log in?
