But well.. the only good thing about it is that the bard in that video actually plays an instrument.. which would be awesome for the FFXIV bard as well.

I think you would have a community divide on WTF and AWW look I can summon penguins!

I agree though, bard needs more bard - wonder if they can introduce multiple strings to a bow like a harp but let you fire from them - then bards can play all bard bows. Or at least something to make them use their instrument - kind of sad that a bard uses their bow more then they play music. (I know the relic has a instrument attached but i meant just a tier strung bow that you could plunk as well lol). Perhaps a flute that can be blow darts?

Well or maybe they need to equip a secondary weapon for being able to play songs.. dont know.. a harp as secondary weapon would be enough for a start wouldnt it? and then play on it automatically.

im excited about seeing how the visuals are now in 2.0. for bard songs. or if they havent changed anything about it.

Bard as it is is okay. But it is a massive wasted opportunity.

But in all seriousness, we need to remember that our bards have quite a different origin. Here they do the equivalent of marching songs, they are way the hell more militarized than bards in other games, i'd like them to keep that style.
