So not even Darnus even knew about Bahamut.

Gamerescape managed to find this yesterday, but it was nice to read again. I was also surprised that it didn't show up in either the FFXIV or Square-Enix Members twitter feeds (unless I missed it).

Ah, sorry that I missed that. I know Gamerescape was going through some website renovations lately and couldn't pull up their website the night of the live letter, so didn't think to check there.

So we haven't been sent in time, just into a rift... A rift in time? Noooooo I don't want to appear in Cardiff (anyone get the reference?)

I only found out about it via the Eorzeapedia Twitter. Seems like certain news items were visible, but the site as a whole was still under construction.
