Lack of dev responses on anything

Just wondering why this is. ;(

I really enjoyed the regular feedback you'd give in the past, but lately you haven't commented on anything. Everyone appreciates any kind of response even "we're not sure yet" or "maybe we'll do that in the future". If you were to say "we're too busy to keep up on the forums right now", even that would be nice.

They're not too busy, there's alpha testing going on with ARR right now so there's not much they can convey. People will commit suicide and/or burn SE down if they say anything other than what people want to hear.

I've seen worse, and we did just get a live letter too.

I don't think yoshi cares as much about us foreigners. They probably consider their japanese players the priority. Even they have a lot of dev posts on the front page of general discussion. No idea what they're about, though >__>.

In the live letter they picked out some pretty irrelevant questions to ask at this point. In my opinion.

There are more Japanese dev posts because they don't have to wait for their info to get translated. Translation is something easy to do, but hard to do right.

This isn't new; they're busy translating the live letter in full. It's always rather silent when they're busy with something like that.

You might want to go see a gastroenterologist if previous rep responses have ever been considered "regular" to you though. It always feels like several days/weeks of dead silence, then a few quick responses in a row. I don't blame 'em though, they can only post what they're given.

Well the live letter was so chock full of a flood of information that they probably don't feel its necessary to comment further.

Better they say nothing than give vague answers to questions that have more or less already been touched upon. People seem to dislike vagueness.

- They're busy now with full translation of Live Letter

- They're also preoccupied with Alpha

- They do actually answer questions, maybe not regularly, but enough, considering that a lot of dumb, dumb questions get asked on the forums and at times it's better to ignore something that to give weight with a response

- A lot of dumb questions got answered because the majority of questions were either dumb or had already been asked so he skipped them

When you are bound by a non-disclosure agreement, there are things that you can say and can't say. I mean there are PR people and lawyers present when they give press releases so they can be consulted as to what they can say and can't say.
