Is it okay for an Off-Topic forum to exist now?

A while ago, the proposition of an Off-Topic forum was denied by a Rep due to the reason that the forums were meant to give feedback for the game. (going off my cloudy memory for this one).

But now we're basically in downtime until ARR's launch and in between Alpha/Beta testing (Global Alpha testing won't be for at least a couple more weeks). Wouldn't it be nice to let loose and talk about other things instead of grass, animations, jumping, hecking in Ul'hah, or Yoshi-P's seductively deep voice?

Heck, I'm still waiting for the Lore forum. :(

If not, would it be okay if we made this thread an Off-Topic thread? It should be fine as long as nobody is insulting each other? Right? :D
