OMG Relax about R0 and the end.

Seriously, when SE created FFXIV, I highly doubt it was their plan to end the world at all. The game wasn't designed for it. Yoshi-P was nice enough to keep the servers up for us for the past 10 days, and free of charge.

We all had 10 days to try and experience the last few aspects of the game we may not have had time to prior. Those who didn't get the opportunity to get their relic weapon got it for 10 days.

SE / Yoshi-P didn't have to keep the servers up. They didn't have to make such an epic end trailer. There are so many things SE has been doing to go out of their way for us, too many people are taking it for granted.

Nothing is going to be perfect. At least Squarenix isn't screwing their customers over like Activision/Blizzard and EA/Bioware.

Not that I'm getting overly excited about the topic because at the end of the day it's still just a game. But, personally I would have liked to see the ending (got out of bed just to log on) and did not get a chance to because of the very same issue which you speak of. See you guys in 2.0 /cheer
