After the final save will repairs be free/or no item degradation?

Just wondered if anyone knows? I hope it's disabled so we can enjoy the end of the world event without having to worry about our gear breaking. I also suspect that people will no longer be using the markets and so obtaining gil will be slightly slower doing leves, etc.

There's nothing to indicate that something like this will happen. And if you have enough gil saved up there's no problem in just spending it all on repairs :p

If it's the end of the world, why do you care about your gear breaking or wasting all your money trying to repair it?

yeah what content will you be spamming after final save?

why not just NPC everything you aren't using and use that money for repairs?

Why would you be worried about your gear breaking in the first place? The end of the world event is a trailer when the servers go down. Not a gameplay event... And even if I'm wrong and there is one, have you ever heard of the repair NPC?

Repairs wont be free, and item degredation will still exist. There is no indication that this is changing, and no reason for it to change (other than our disdain for it)

is this supposed weeklong live event even confirmed to be true?

I actually like the degradation system, so no need to defend it here. I just thought it could be an inconvenience if there is any new content during the week following final save. If it's just an end of the world video well.. yeh :/

This didn't occur to me but it's what i'll be doing now. :)

It wont matter after the final save....on realunch of 2.0 im assuming your gear will be in the same state as the final save... so if you log out and your gear is at 75% when 2.0 relaunches youll log in to 75%... if say you had 100% at final save but through the week mess around trying various stuff and damage armour to 10% when you log back into 2.0 itll be back at 100%
