suggestion, would much of you ( you i mean those who have not beaten raven hard mode ) would play ff14 after final save? if the only achievement ( and reward ) would be saved and transferred to 2.0 was finishing Raven Hard Mode. Gotta say it will keep people coming in, even though server congestion in the fight would be bad ( if alot have not yet beaten it yet )
I approve of this message. ...But yeah I think everyone is trying their hardest to beat that fight this week and just about everyone is going to need more time. So if there was a way to flag to our accounts that we won after November 1 then that sounds like win to me!

if they could somehow do that... and so long as having the achievement ment i could collect my whiteravens in 2.0 then yeah that would be awesome.
The final save date has been known for a long time, and the fight has been available for a long time. They gave us plenty of time to get this done before the save. That said, the real reward for beating the fight is... beating the fight. Seriously. It's there for you to have fun with. If you need a pair of decent earrings and a lodestone history entry to feel good about winning, then I think you're missing the point.
I don't think anyone is "missing the point." Different people play this game for different reasons. Some people play primarily for the quests and story and could care less about the gears. Some people play to amass massive amounts gil. Some people play to get the best gears, whether it's melding or drops. Some people just play to socialize. If someone is interested in a one-time piece of gear then that's their choice and that's their priorities. Not everyone plays the game for the same reasons as you. Also, just because SE sets a date doesn't mean everyone has been able to beat it. A lot of LS's have struggled to get the people together dedicated enough to keep trying at the fight. I actually think allowing the hard raven achievement post 11/1 would help people stay interested in the game and potentially retain more players people for 2.0.
