In a few other games I have played, there was a way to assign a member if your party as a Focus Target in order to direct macro spells at them. Is there any way using macros in FFXIV to directly cast a skill on anything but your target (<t>) and yourself (<me>)?
Example: Playing as Marauder, and the healer needs assistance when the tank gets low on HP. Is there a way to create a macro to cast Cure I/II on the tank? If so, can it be done without losing track of your target?

At this time there is not.
You can /target <p3>, but not /ac Cure <p3>.
Additionally, up/down arrow keys (or D-Pad) do not work when selecting a target for a spell.
Until they implement a fix/solution, casters are stuck with <t>, or being quick to select a target. -

That should absolutely work.
The last line is /targetnpc, one word. It'll target the nearest NPC though, so this only works if the engaged enemy is also the nearest. -

Another quick macro question. I have made a macro to put several of my Thaumaturge debuffs on one macro key. However, sometimes randomly when used it will completely bypass a skill with the message along the lines "This skill cannot be prepared." even though I have more than enough stamina. I tried putting /wait of a few seconds in-between each cast, but it still shows up and I have to recast the macro again for it to register those that were not cast. Any ideas?

I don't know since I just use tab to target the person I need to (since <st> will make only friendly targets available it's really easy).
