I don't think the UI in the first picture show the PS3 UI, it look like it is from the gamescom.

Absolutely hate that.
According to Reinheart's Translation thread, it's from Famitsu. Hopefully once more complete translations and scans come in we'll actually get to see the UI and have a better feel for it. None the less, I am intrigued.
The Kotaku explanation was a lot more descriptive, provided it's true:
