I did a little reading and saw that if you're in a party you can do double the leve quests than normal? (His then mine?) Is there a benefit from getting into a group more than going it solo? Could someone please go in depth on this topic. thank you

Yes. You each share the SP of youre leve quests with each other. Links stack the SP and completion rewards so you dont have to do it as much (Maximum of 4 links per leve for max benefit). Doing leves alone is bad idea.

Doing leves solo you can get around 250-400 sp/kill solo above 24 and you can only do 8 leves, doing them in groups you can get around 500-1400 sp/kill and you will do around 20-22 leves most likely.

So in the end you end up with like 25% of the sp a group of 8-9 ppl doing leves will get if you solo in the duration of 1 leve reset.

The game is designed for grouping, this solo game mentality is only a western thing. Soloing should be used as a last resort only in this game, or is you simply have so little playtime a group does not warrant it.

In a full group of 8, considering everyone has leves, you can do 24 leves per area. Do both R30/40 areas a reset and that is 48 leves, extra 16 if you travel to another city to do those leves.. If you are at the r10 or 20 stage, travel with your group to each of the cities and do them all in each area for a total of 64 leves per reset.

Edit: And Sp for an Unlinked leve is the same if you do them with up to 3 other people, slightly less with 4-7 other people.

Yup, but the solo aspect is there if you need/want to do it that way...

People complain no one wants to group, but best sp is gained in groups...

You just have the option to level solo, albeit at a slower pace; instead of being SOL and doing nothing...

Seems pretty nice to me.
