Cactuars in Iron Lake?

So I just logged in for a wonderful day of slaying creatures and skinning them, when I ported to Iron Lake there were like 50x Rank 60-79 Cacuars just chilling all around. Can someone please explain.

It's the end of the world as we know it... Seriously things like that will happen a week ago there were high level elementals around a camp

It's the next step in the oh lawdy the world's gone crazy meta event.

Cactuars don't aggro so its not like anyone's in any danger.

Checked the forums to find this thread after ls mate said there was sabotenders spawned @ blackbursh/hatalia

So odd.. I hope we see a newspaper article on it! I wanna know more about it!

There were also level 65 ~ 75 sabotenders around Camp Horizon a little while ago. We thought it was because Atomos was there, but the sabotenders remained even after Atomos disappeared. Strange indeed!

Am I being cynical if I say I think they're only doing this so they can make boring news articles on the Lodestone, to make it look like we're getting updates?
