Returning player, a few questions.

Hey guys, I searched the web and Searched this newby area with terms like 'point allotment' But I can't seem to find any info on what each stat does exactly.

I was around until just after physical levels were abolished I think, but there is still a lot of information to research just to know what I'm looking for.

I think I have everything down, including materia, I am just unsure of what each stat does.
