Event Drop Rate Frustration

Allow me to apologize right up front - I know there have been so many threads on this, but I just can't help it - I need to vent some.

57 hamlet defense runs now Aleport and not once have I ever seen militia tights drop. I realize some of the better gear in the game needs to come with a challenge and some effort, but this is absolutely ridiculous. The same is true about dungeon darklight gear.

I don't pretend to know what the actual drop rate is, but I can only assume it's 1-2%, based on my personal experience. So let me ask, SE, do you think a group should have to do Aleport hamlet 400-800 times before everyone, on average, gets their militia tights? Do you have any idea just how much I hate hamlet now after 139 total runs?

I can only hope you get this right for 2.0. Challenging? yes. Repetitively mondane and boring to the point of gagging, no thanks.

What I'd prefer to see happen is for the drop rate to stay at it's current pitiful state but each time you complete a Hamlet, Primal, or dungeon, your chance of getting a drop (e.g. totem or weapon from a primal) from that event increases by a fixed amount until you get something. At which time, the drop rate resets back to the original value.

This shouldn't even be part of the pre-req, it's only tacked on to force people to do Hamlets.

Definitely not alone here, but I've won the moogle fight at least 40+ times, never seen a weapon or a kupo nut.

0/300+ on Ifrit's Bow. Do not even speak to me about low drop rates. >_<

Primal drop rate is fine actually, just not for what you personally want lol, you generally see at least 1 person get something out of a battle (ignoring dark matter.)

I wouldn't say they're "fine", especially not with the way drops work for primals. To be honest if it weren't for the 10 totems I'd gotten from the last 120 or so runs I would be missing two weapons still. ._.

I'd still have preferred the XI setup over anything.

All the time you wasted doing that you could have just farmed random items and then bought a way better leg bottom....

I've done nearly 150 Aleport runs and have only seen the tights drop once. Same with the cuirass, and some dick who didn't even play PLD/WAR took it.

I've done about 120 Hyrstmill runs and have yet to see the trousers drop.

I've never seen the subligar drop from Golden Bazaar and I'm at 160 or so runs there.

I'm also 6/9 on seals. Hamlet fucking sucks. Everyone agrees.
