What is the reason we cannot meld AF gear? I mean its great gear and looks awesome but its pretty much worthless endgame because you cant meld it.
And wahts with the +mp to a tank class? Can you change PLD af +mp to +hp >.>

I support this only, if you can spectacularly blow it up.
I could not possibly agree more. It's horrifically depressing that the job-unique, iconic gear of FF is shoved aside and obsolete in favor to ugly, generic gear melded with good materia.
Personally, it should have the option to meld and reacquire by returning to the spots you first got them from or, most reasonably, pay a sum of gil to a particular "Artifact Reacquisition vendor".
I'd be interested in seeing what could be done with this as well.
if you blew up at melding, would you cry about repeatable collecting af gear quests?
I bet it's upgradeable later and they want us to not blow it to bits before then
I'd hope, big guy... Lominsan pride! <3
I agree with this, but lets be reasonable, instead of blowing gear, why can we just have the materia system as other games, why not add slots to the equipment, you would be limited by the amount of slots your gear piece have, if you talk about crafted gear if you make a gear +1 it would have an extra slot, i know they want gil sinks, but its really annoying collecting gil to buy a really good piece of gear and when you want to double or triple meld it, it blows up and you have to start from scratch.
I can live with the idea of having certain materia for certain pieces of gear but would be better if simple materias like STR VIT, etc that only adds 1 stat could be melded anywhere you wanted or give special effects for mixed materias in a single piece.
Yeah, I was rather sad that once I got all my AF I was just going to replace it for materia based generic gear.
Why not make materia like enchanting and just need someone from a certain trade skill to infuse it onto the armor.
