Does the interior of Ishgard exist in the data files?

Was just curious if Ishgard was intended to be able to be walked into in the same manner as limsa and the other cities and actually has an interior, or if the data for it doesn't exist in our game clients and we were really never meant to get into it even if 1.0 remained the norm.

Not that I know of, we knew about Aurum vale long before it was release due to the data for it being in the .dat files when the game launched.

Ishguard was meant to stay locked until the first expansion pack I assume when we would have ventured into the colder regions of the world.

Yes it exists, but it's barely any textures. Shortly after release due to a glitch you could actually bypass the gate and explore a bit of it but it was heavily unfinished so when SE realized this they forced you to disconnect as you hit the city limits for a quick fix.

Only reason I won't link it is because what I had saved from back then was a step by step guide on how to do the glitch lol. Can't recall the lalafell's name who did the youtube videos though.

Basically what's up there isn't even real geometry. Just a bunch of curved and textured planes.

Plus from a distance, Ishgard does look very small compared to the other city-states.

But it is quite deep. Looks to have many levels most below the bridge.
