Alpha test application (not) successful

Hello there.
Since i didnt knew my account was canceled for 1 day (because i didnt play for 1 day because had internet down) i applied to the Alpha test, and in the end it gave a successful notification about the application was successfully made and that i whould be contacted by e-mail if i was picked.
When i realized it was down, i paid it after that and was hoping that only on the testers pick day it whould matter if it was active or not, so i sent in a ticket questing about if it was gonna be fine or if i should just make up another application (which i didnt till i got an answer).
The reply for the ticket was that they were sorry my account wasnt active at the application time and that there is no way i could re-apply to make the application valid for the selection list.
If a GM around, can you please tell me what can i do now to be eligible to enter the selection list for the Alpha test? Or i just wont be able to enter that list because i didnt knew my account was down and there was no error message on the application that my account was down and i couldnt send the application successfully?
I think its pretty sad that there is nothing that can be done in this situation because if i fill another both will be deleted and i wont be able to enter anyways...
Is there anything i can do to change the account status on my Alpha application or something else i can do to have my application in order to possibly be picked?

Firstly your account doesnt get cancelled if your internet is down....
Secondly theres basically nothing you can do since it clearly states in the application you must have a valid FFXIV service account to be able to apply for alpha. The onus was on you to check your FFXIV account was valid before applying.... basically tough luck you wont be alpha testing :(
