Is DLSS5 against ToS?

Hi there, I saw many people trying and playing with the new leaked DLSS5 features (Injected through reshade) in a discussion with friends. Some stated that DLSS5 use could be against SE ToS and a ban-worthy offense.

As far as I know, reshade isn't against ToS per se, so is DLSS5? Someone could be banned if streaming with DLSS5 enabled?

To note this is not about discussing whether DLSS5 is good or bad, ethical or not, is just about the ToS. ^^; No drama, please.

Reshade is a third-party program that interacts with the game client. The ToS is broad, and SE can ban people for it if they want to, but they could just as easily ban people for Discord's integration tools or for fiddling with things via their GPU's software.

It's about 13 years old, but SE's stance on shader injectors specifically is that they don't violate the ToS:

Yup, that's why I ask, to see if SE changed their stance about it, and what people think about it. Hoping any SE staff can clarify.

No, but it's so hideous i have no idea why you would want to use that garbage

All this ai stuff being pushed and i have yet to see a single good use of it in the art/graphics department

The horrors of seeing what DLSS5 has done to all sorts of games has been ingrained into my mind and I can tell you it is nightmare fuel what "realism" does to a game. Not to mention, it literally spits in the Developer's face in regards to artistic design for characters and such(that typically for anyone who has seen the artwork for XIV, knows is time-consuming).

At most XIV should not support DLSS5 at all since it literally changes the appearances of characters completely, as well as certain designs and backgrounds.

DLSS 5 is against my eyes which is worse than being against ToS, really.

As I stated, my post isn't about to discuss if DLSS5 is good or bad, is just if a player can be banned for using it or speaking about it in-game. (Or stream using it) I find it ugly too, but that's not the point I'm trying to discuss.

They better oughta be something the game as it stands, unaltered, can produce, don't you think?

Anyway, things like Reshade are allowed, and if DLSS5 isn't officially implemented yet and produces noticeable changes, it's probably wisest to keep it to yourself for now. Though if I understand how it works, once it is released properly it's client-side and postprocess, though something that game devs can work with to properly integrate into their games? If it's something that NVIDIA users can just turn on on their sides, it can't be anymore ban-worthy than using any other postprocessing feature turned on in your video card.
