Version 2.0 Benchmark Please

I thought there was going to be at least two benchmarks released before v2.0 lands.

Can I have the first one now, please? Pretty please, with cherries and cream on top?!

Are benchmarks usually released before Alpha begins?

So Alpha Starts on September 30th ish right? that would mean a benchmark will be released soon =).

Alpha will not begin until after November 11.

They're usually released to give a player a chance to see how their rigs will handle the new engine (general use of Benchmarks) so it could come out at any time they have suitable progress made on a game.

They said the game (1.0) will go down when beta goes up though, which seems to be the November date, unless they heavily pushed back Alpha.

If i read right the alpha test will begin before november and beta after november when servers get down

At Gamescom Yoshi P said the engine wasn't complete yet. There would be no point in releasing a benchmark for an uncompleted engine!

During the GamerEscape interview with Yoshi he mentioned there will be at least two benchmarks.

The first benchmark is supposed to be a test version to be released before the Alpha testing starts. The second is a "maybe" before release.
