Action bars do not work.

I am having an issue with my main action bars not working. When I hit an ability nothing happens other than my character getting targeted and the action bar as well as the micro menu disappears. I can get it to come back by hitting esc. I have tried locking the UI which makes the bars stay but the abilities don't work. I also tried setting the bars to always show, changing targeting settings since somehow the bars trigger targeting my character and even gone so far as to reinstall the game. Nothing works. I put in a ticket via email and was told to call tech support. In doing so they told me they could not find a solution for me and advised me to post a thread here. I am out of ideas at this point and this seems to be my last resort before cancelling my account. :(
