I hope it's Limsa... but everyone is afraid of Pirate accents, so it might be just a dream. :c

FFXIV content directed all players to Uldah due to the Waking Sands quest. Because there were no chocobos or airships people just settled there and set up their retainers. Since everyone set up their retainers there, it didn't make since to shack up in another town because retainers need face to face maintenance to be a sustainable form of income. As a result all the other players who needed to buy things, ended up there too. Which instantly made the Immortal Flames the most popular GC.....
I think FFXIV: ARR should do its utmost to avoid having one "center of Eorzea" to give players more choice as to what place they want to make their own personal capital of Eorzea. Game systems, particularly the market system, should allow players to be able to access content on a daily basis without having to be physically present in a certain city.
Just wait.
They'll restrict Auction Houses to the city it's in >: D
Cheaper taxes on goods in Ul'dah.
Someone touch wood.
Ishgard or gtfo.
We'll just loot the masses if they settled in Limsa. Arrr matey!!
It would soon be Ishgard. As progressive content appears, that's where everyone will be to set the margin. As far as I know, the realm will be redesigned (2.0)and there will be collateral damage to the city states, so I wont know if some options (to set up retainers or what-not) will still be there for us like before...
The levequest desk in Ul'dah spawns in around 12 seconds. The other two spawn after several minutes. That's the only reason I am there most of the time. It's like we are herded there.
a fourth big city (like ishgard or Jeuno in FFXI) would be nice. So it would be none of the starter cities like we have it now with Ul'dah. But i think that people will gather automatically in Ul'dah because of their old behaviour :)
but well lets see how ul'dah will look like in the new version.
