Error 505

So I was traveling from Rafflesia (Dynamis) to Adamantoise (Aether) and now I'm stuck in the void and getting error 505 "Unable to successfully complete Data Center Travel request. If your character is not listed in the target Data Center, please wait a few moments before trying again." And it's been like this for over 20 minutes now.

How do I fix this?

Currently stuck in the same state; was transferring from Crystal (Coeurl) to Aether (Faerie). I also know of at least one FC member also stuck attempting the same transfer.

Based on timing, looks like what we assumed was open space for DC travel was in fact the destination world crashing...

Seems entirely server side as well, and blocks logging into ANY DC, regardless of region.

edit: Also seems to have finally cleared up for me as well. Took about 2 hours

Excalibur to Faerie in my case. 505 error before even getting to the Character Select screen. Happens regardless of which DC I attempt to log in to.

edit: Was just now able to log in.

In order get a better sense of the problem could you please provide the following information?

- Platform (PC, Steam, Mac)
- Any error codes or messages you receive upon disconnect (if any)
- Type of connection (wired or wireless)
- Are you running any addition programs alongside Final Fantasy XIV?
- Were any update or changes made to the PC at the time of the crash?
- Does the issue occur when you run the game with Administrative Privileges?

Please provide a system report as well. You can do so by going to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of the 'System Information' click on 'Display'.

Additionally, If the concern, has already been solved then please confirm it with your reply.

Having the same error. Exodus to Faerie. Stuck for about an hour so far.

How long did it take you, and what time of day did it get resolved?

Same error here. Trying to travel from Zalera to Jenova and now I'm stuck. I've tried all the servers in the NA data center and even Materia and get the same error message. Been about an hour of trying off and on.


Edit: was finally able to login again about 3 hours later

It took 3 hours for it to resolve for me.
