Can they please change how Lalas walk? They have freaking knees when they sit, jump, climb, and run. But for some reason, when they need to walk, the knees become stiff as a board and they have to waddle? lol

Well, lala animations are more expressive than other races overall so IDK if SE has any plans to change them.
You waddle, and that fast, because you need to keep pace with other races, everyone has the same walking speed, so Lalas need to make up for the leg length difference.
Also Lalas are a gag-ish race, not that they are never in serious situations, but that they are inherently, intentionally silly, and even feature some incredibly cartoony animations, especially the guys, if you have a male Lala, just go to any bed(all Inns have a bed) and do /doze, you will witness one of the most cartoonish animations in the game.
It's so strange because in the MSQ lalas walk normal sometimes but when you're in control they waddle like a penguin... I'd like an alternate walk animation as well.
I love my walk animation LOL
It's a reference to Tarutaru, the race Lalafell were inspired by from FFXI, who are far more doll-like and do walk pretty much exactly like that. All races that have been around since 1.0 are based on FFXI's races.
Though, Lalafell are meant to proportionately resemble the classic FF title's sprites and the chibi style used in the 3D remakes of games like FF3 and the Bravely Default series.
I don’t mind it, but I would like more options… I think the Midlander “princess run” would be cute on my Lala, for instance.
It’s going to be hard to be taken seriously in heavy RP when you’re trying to make a dramatic entrance and your character just penguin waddles into the room. -_- We’ve seen Lalafells walk normally in cutscenes plenty of times, so the animations clearly exist.
It would be great to have that as an actual toggle or option
