Black Screen When Game is Closed.

Just wondering if anybody else has seen this issue and has found a fix for it.....
Every time I exit the game FFXIV fails to close, the screen goes black and I'm forced to reboot the comp to fully exit the game, If I leave the computer for a while and come back the desktop will be up but if I try and run the game again I get an error telling "Timed out while waiting for final fantasy to close." This happens in both full screen and windowed mode. Looking at running processes I see nothing related to this game. The only way to start the game again is by rebooting the computer. No issues at all in game, just trying to exit.
