So it looks like stats don't really get nerfed too much; looks like they're just pulled back a little bit, probably for his 1:1 with materia thing he was talking about. Hell, its close enough it could just be a racial difference, except for the STR/PIE and Attack Power. Interesting; cool, thank you for doing that ^^.
Also, he may have spent his 50(?) points in different areas, the stats are probably the same
Yoshi-P's stats = 1283 total, vs 1312 on Zedo's, that's a little too much for racial differences methinks; but you are right, there is very little change.
That is a big difference in atk power and hp..
i get the feeling atk power materia will be buffed like crazy compared to the stat materia of str/pie, it only makes sense since the atk power materia is much rarer then the str/pie. I wonder how that will affect the job balancing with other jobs giving DRG power surge.
Maybe they'll bring back weapon weaknesses, i.e. some mobs being weaker to slashing, etc.
