Basic movement in the gameplay video

I would be great full if we could get some clarification on the animation we saw in the gamescon video. Is this the finial product or are the devs still adding / refining the animation?

The backward walking, no sideways movement looks kinda odd in my opinion. I have to say I can't stand the movement in other mmos - the character animation is a big reason why I play ffxiv. I invested a lot of time and if what we saw in the video is close to the final product i will be very disappointed.

When you create awesome inviroments, great characters and awesome art - then the character floats and skates around you feel like your not part of the world.

Love to get some kind of dev response - either way.
