Still silent on Patch 7.45?

SE, it would really help if you could provide a clearer release calendar. This expansion has felt like a cycle of delays and silence, and we still haven’t heard anything about 7.45.

For reference:

7.4 released on December 16, 2025.

7.41 followed on January 27, 2026 — already a fairly long wait, about 2–3 weeks later than the usual “x.x1” timing.

Based on previous patterns, 7.45 should be around this time. Even accounting for the delay with 7.41, it shouldn’t be much more than a week or two away.

If we look at the previous cycle:

7.3: August 5, 2025
7.31: September 2, 2025 (one month later)
7.35: October 7, 2025 (two months after 7.3)

We are now two months past 7.4, yet there’s still no communication about 7.45.

With a four-month patch cycle, 7.5 should land around mid-April. At this pace, however, it’s hard to see how the schedule remains consistent.

I understand that you split patch content over time to maintain a sense of ongoing updates between major releases. That makes sense from a content pacing perspective. However, some of the features tied to these sub-patches are highly anticipated by specific groups of players. For example, players who prefer branching or variant-style dungeons may be more excited for 7.45 than for 7.4 itself.

Without any kind of roadmap or rough timeline, it becomes frustrating for players who are actively waiting for that content. More than the delay itself, it’s the lack of visibility that makes it difficult. A simple schedule—even an approximate one—would go a long way toward reassuring the community and helping players plan their time.

since there was a roadmap for endwalker i assumed they would give us one for dawntrail too... it was kinda disappointing when they didnt give us one

That's if there is even a 7.45, if there is one its not going to be anything of significance since the following has been classed as confirmed or planned to release in 7.5 from interviews / live letters / news.

They go by the formula from the prior expansion. Based on 6.41 to 6.45, the gap was 4 weeks. So it will probably be in 2 weeks time.

The gap was only 3 weeks in Shadowbringers, but the patch cycle duration has increased by 25% since then, and they take a week of holiday for certain holidays in Japan now.

I'm really feeling the content drought this expansion between the .1 and .5 patch and that shouldn't be the case. The content is over far too quickly and the spacing between it needs to change

Duh, anyone with 2 brain cells knew this would happen. The Fanfests dates made clear 8.0 would not be betfore december 2026. keeping the 19 weeks per patch for all the patch would have lead to 114 weeks, leaving something like 16 to 18 weeks of nothing until the last patch. It was sure the patch would take more time to not make that wait too long. Now is the last time they need another 4 month of nothing after the 5.55 has lived its time. End of expansion wait we got last 2 expansions are so awful.

I do hope they use that time to fix part 2 of OC, because we were promised the best of both Eureka and bozja, and for now, we got the worst of both.

This is exactly why I keep making those threads on the forum, so at least the devs known that players are not ok with those delay.

Increasing the time between patches while keeping the "3 month per patch model" is a downgrade. If we had more content and more stuff to do, maybe, but that's not the case. OC is so far as you said is an example of another fail on this expansion.
Cosmic tools were up to the new one within a week and that moon is so boring that even if I'll end up at some point with 500k points on every jobs, I don't even feel doing it for 2 main reasons : 1- The cosmic exploration have been boring so far, Ishgard restoration was better and 2 - The mount that you get is simply a reskin, not an original one.

And even for the relics weapon, they'll simply be done by doing anything because it's simply tomestone again on this step.

I'm expecting a huge change on that model for 8.x, like going back to 3 month release, or, changing the model because it's clear that in DT, it's a huge failure and that I'm not the only one annoyed by it.

They are well aware. I remember one time, not long ago, they said something along the lines of "like other MMOs, we face constant pressure to release content faster from our players"

I've been doing the progression FATEs also, and beside that, not everyone has all crafters/gatherers leveled or all tools maxed yet in the first place. I agree that the locations could be more exciting (and not just empty rocks with no life), but at least I'm doing it with others as opposed to the solo content that was in Endwalker.

That's after the paste step. You get paste from a lot of content but it is still a preceeding step. Haven't really put time into it so I only get some from weeklies. There's also the PvP series that I've been doing most days.

You're going to be disappointed. They aren't even hiring hardly at all. The mass layoffs were a sign that they weren't going to be recruiting for a long time.

Best calculated release date is Feb 24th, if it lands after, it will have to compete with other games in that release window.
