How to give people something to do

Square Enix should make doing content ACTUALLY rewarding. For example:

Clearing the last boss of savage should allow people to go to 8/9 on the wondrous tails book and still be able to shuffle, allowing them to roll for a gold certificate easier.

Extreme mounts that are not available for totems should move 100% faster than every other mount, until they become available on the vendor.

Lastly, people who clear a current expansion ultimate receive a priority ticket for bidding on a house. Allow them to take up 3-8 slots every time they bid, or something like that. Maybe even make a ward that only ultimate clearers can bid in. A ward dedicated entirely to gamers! How cool would it be to just hang out with your ultimate bros? Finally housing wards would have a real community, instead of never even seeing your neighbors, because your neighbors actually play the game. Maybe even make it unique from other cities, and create a hangout spot in the very middle where we can show off our ultimate weapons.


That would give people something to do, and encourage people to dip their toes into content that they are so scared of. Entirely optional, too, so you are not required to clear ultimates. It's just beneficial if you do.

If we're proposing insane ideas,

then I propose they reintroduce concealed nodes and make consumables and gear gated behind expert recipes with equivalent difficulty of the third step of resplendent tools when done on-content.

Make it cost the same what HW gear was, which was 10-30M on patch-week per piece.

There you go, suddenly people actually need to play the game... Wink wink.

just copy WoW's Mythic+ and add more ways to get raid ilvl gear so its not only raiding and tomes for bis for current tier, current gearing is so stale they have followed the same forumla for several expansions in a row there's a big reason for why its so dead inbetween patches

You're part of the problem if you think it's an 'afraid' matter and giving a small carrot would push people to harder content. CAR and FTB shot that idea down.

People just don't care and consider it's not worth their time.

I have a simpler solution:

Every patch add new rewards to ALL contents, old and new.

Tbh with those two pieces of content specifically, the wildly overshot difficulty was only half the problem. The other half was the community who decided to gatekeep (at least CAR was MASSIVELY gatekept on Zodiark if you didn't start it release week).

I think they just need accept that some ppl don't care or aren't interested in higher end content and stop trying to push people into it. it just isn't gonna work out how you want it to.

I think people just need learn about other gameplay types and stop believing Systematic and Extrinsic are the universal "goals". XD

That's the beauty of it, if you don't care and don't consider it worth it, you don't have to! Us that will do it, however, get something really neat out of it. More rewards is always good! For deep dungeons, they can give you some crafting tomestone materials (maybe like 5 of each?) after you clear floor 99, for those that don't want to do extreme and higher, and maybe for completing all your daily roulettes, you will get an extra spiritbonding buff that lasts for 2 hours!
