NTT says it has the ability to determine one type of traffic from another. Maybe it would help if FFXIV itself shared details of its packet structure with NTT and included in all packets a code that changes every 30-60 seconds that only NTT and connected clients know, making it a lot of work to attack FFXIV specifically.

If you needed more proof that NA are second class citizens to SE, you should know that the Japanese servers get expensive enterprise DDoS mitigation service from Akamai Prolexic in front of them.

Square won’t postpone anything because they don’t care about us. They put the JP servers behind extensive DDOS protection then just shake their shoulders when NA spends 4 years with on and off DDOS’s because they won’t pay to protect us despite us making up over half their playerbase

I’d bet money some interview will come out in like 6 months where yoshi p does a “wait you guys have ping problems à la machinist” with DDOS’s

Every mmo treats foreign customers like second class. Look at wow oceanic players have been treated like second class for 15yrs.
