Shared Fate and Hunting Log Rework

heard Yoshi-P encouraged people to not only say what we don't like but also give suggestions of what we would like to see. So here are my musings. The goal is to modernise old features and make them more comprehensive regarding scope for a given Expansion.



Shared Fate Rework: Area Familiarity



The Shared Fate feature can be rather monotone to grind out, and I think there's a lot of potential in expanding this feature:

• Shared Fate would be renamed to Area Familiarity (=AF). As before, increasing your AF-Rank will expand the inventory of certain vendors.
• Area-specific Side Quests now give AF-Points. The Gil reward will be replaced with Bicoloured Gemstones, and the EXP gain will be increased to be very roughly in line with the EXP/min of Fates. (Would also be a nice alternative when you queue for a Duty since you can just pause a quest, unlike a fate.)
• Discovering more of the map, collecting Aether Currents and emoting at Lookout Points give AF.
• Rework some of the ARR Lookout Points/Fates, etc., that are only available like once a month, probably at 3 a.m.
• Bonus AF/Gemstones are granted once all of a given category are completed (e.g discovered the entire map, done all Fates once, completed all Side Quests, etc.).
• Hunts DO NOT give any AF/Gemstones. Hunt trains are good enough as they are. There would be no logical reason to do anything other than Hunt Trains (and if Hunt Trains do not interact with AF, neither should B Ranks, S Ranks or SS Ranks, simply for consistency). Fates should be the only replenishable source of Gemstones.
• Implemented for previous Expansions. For ARR, give GC-Seals instead of Gemstones.
• Weekly Challenge Log for Fates gives Gemstones and EXP, or even more Gemstones if done at max level.
