Has anyone figured out how to make it so that when you share gear between jobs, you don't share the glam plate? For some jobs, I want the stock look of the gear; for others, I want a glam look. I can't put the gear in the dresser and make a new plate, because it would remove the melds, so my pentamelded crafting gear would lose ALL its materia that way.
You might have to buy second copies of some gear for the dresser. If it's "unique" gear, you can hide your melded one in the saddlebag or a retainer temporarily

But if you also know you would like to use it for glam, pop it in your dresser and put it in a plate, then take it out and meld it. Even though the piece is not in your dresser anymore, the plate will keep it unless you take it out yourself. Not the most convenient if you want to use different pieces for different glams, but it's not the worst...
