Allow more activities whilst searching in Party Finder

Currently, on "dead" datacenters, players including myself spend hundreds of hours waiting for Party Finders to fill, this is the only way to get groups for certain content, including current and past expansion Extreme fights. Just yesterday I spent 4 hours trying to fill a Sphene Extreme party, just to fill and only get 3 clears in a farm party. 4 hours searching for 20 minutes of gameplay.

What could I do in those 4 hours?
I can't do Levequests.
I can't do hunts and get rewarded properly. (Forced cross world party negates Hunt rewards unless you have full emnity)
I can't do roulettes.
I can't do Occult Crescent/Eureka/Bozja
I can't do gold saucer GATEs/Blunderville

What are we supposed to do? Twiddle our thumbs? We don't have any cross-dc party finder. Materia WoL's pay the same sub price yet can't data center travel to a more populous DC to try and cut down the party finder search time.

I suggest revamping the PF or allow OCE to DC travel to NA/JP
