I would like it if coffers you couldn't open because you already carry the max amount of that Pomander were marked with the Pomander icon of what is in it above the coffer. For example, if you couldn't open a gold coffer that contained a Pomander of Serenity because you already hold 3 of them then after interacting with the gold coffer a Pomander of Serenity icon would be marked above the gold coffer.
I like this idea! Even better if it shows up in the minimap as well.
That would be kinda cool, cause the amount of times I run past the same dang chest because I have smooth brain and forget what it was is stupid.
Also add an option to just make the game automatically spend/discard the pomander in your inventory that's blocking you from looting before looting the chest immediately after tbh (with caveats like incenses that have multiple variants ofc).
Im not a fan of this idea. Especially automatic usage / loot option.
While it may not be a satisfying enough solution for you, u can mark the chests with usual party markers (having them on hotbar is helpful for that)
I agree that my idea after consideration could lead to potentially unwanted uses like for pomanders of flight/alteration, or just a a pomander of steel/strength being used on the wrong player automatically.
Still the OP is pretty much essentially UI improvement and I'm for it. Put a "?" over unopened chests, and replace it with the icon of a pomander if it couldn't be looted.
