Payment methods for Australians

Most players in the EU or NA will be unaware of this.

Currently, Australian players have only one method of payment for FFXIV billing services once Square Enix begins charging monthly account fees. We are required to pay by Credit Card in the Euro currency.

This means that not only will Australian's without access to credit cards be hindered in playing this game in the future, but we must also pay substantially more for the same services due to the exchange rates and the associated currency conversion fees banks place upon us. Depending on which bank one is with, Australians will thus have to pay up to 1.5 times as much for this game as US players.

We also have no access to Square Enix Crysta.

I would like to ask Square Enix to please implement alternative payment options for Australians. We would like to be able to pay in our native currency or, at the very least, be able to pay in American dollars instead in light of the much better exchange rate we have with the U.S.

Agreed. As I see it, Australians will be paying much more for the same experience as other players, not to mention without full services. Please try and see whether the Crysta system and be implemented.

Also, Australian players lack a voice outside of these forums as we cannot fill out the polls due to us not being in the 'correct region'. Due to that, our opinions see impossible to reach Yoshi-P via his polls which are given out. Please give us a chance to provide our views on how to improve the game and the experience.

Yes, our lodestones seem to default to the North American settings, whereupon we get an error for the player's polls for being in the wrong region.

In order to complete the poll, I had to guess what the EU poll hyperlink would be, fiddling with the address unitl I worked it out. My responses would have been bundled with the UK players.

Reason for that is for FFXIV you are the UK players :( you did get the UK CE and downloaded the UK version if i remember right.

but i think in due time they would allow it for everyone at least i hope.

Correct. My understanding that we are treated as a separate part of the EU group, much like France and Germany are separate parts of the EU group.

I really don't know if you can only do the poll by entering the EU poll then you are part of the EU group. But i do wish SE give everyone other way for payments for me i wish they did better then this 3 party tool :( i want to pay but CC but i have to set it up by a 3party company which just more work to do at least FFXI one click,click your done.
