Is this content still planned for the current version of Final Fantasy XIV?
Was it always meant to be content for A Realm Reborn despite the misleading description? :rolleyes:
At first I was going to say, "Well, ya that's 2.0" but then I noticed it said "in the coming months".
So I guess what they mean by "in the coming months" is next year sometime seeing as how that pdf was released in Februrary or March.
Either that or we're going to be seeing a killer lettered patch coming soon.
I personally don't mind either way, as long as it's not completely scrapped.
I think the sentence alone might be misleading but the fact that it's in a 2.0 outline doc under the Rebuild Map/Model section we can pretty much expect it not to be released until 2.0 or later.
I'm not sure this is related, but according to the roadmap we're supposed to see "dramatic changes to the in-game world" this month. Northern lights and some stones with signs on them is not dramatic changes by any means, so hopefully we'll see it in the last patch.
itt; we still have not learned SE's definition of "soon" and "few months" is vastly different than the generally accepted definitions.
My best guess would be, if only due to general expectations of scheduling, a few months after the release of A Realm Reborn, maybe a bit after players have hit the new level cap, assuming the newest levels will see a heavy slow-down?
It's pretty much going to have to happen in the last lettered patch. If it does, it's giving a higher sense of urgency for me to get those aetherial gates I'm missing. I remember reading something about some of the aetherial gates not being accessible before the game goes offline.
I was wondering the same thing, I interpreted that as pre-2.0 with the "dramatic changes to the world"
If this is going to happen it will be incoming with the b patch.
