Increase the item limit

A question which must already have been asked, but there were rumors about an increase in housing item allowed. Do we know when this will be implemanted ?

In 7.1, they said 7.2 or 7.3. In 7.3 they said it was delayed but didn't give a date so your guess is as worthy as anyone's.

Probably sometime during the 7.4 patch cycle, unless it gets delayed again.

It was promised to arrive in 7.2 or 7.3 during early DT LLs. Got delayed without explanation, then WoW housing became a thing, now it got delayed again but we've been promised the item slots and the ability to change the size or the indoor area of our house (as in, you can have an S home but when you enter it's an L inside). We don't know anything else for now, I am just hoping it finally arrives in 7.4.

Yeah, at this point I am praying for 7.4, but won't be shocked if it's 7.5 or even 8.0 at this rate...

If someone told them they could get away with selling the item slot increase for houses on the FFXIV Online Store it'd be done within the month.

Would you want that? once players are receptive to it, they are going to keep pushing it. And I like my subscription keeping La-carte "upgrade purchases" off the table.

Technically already exists in retainer upgrades (flat cost and/or companion app which includes expanded saddlebag). Housing expansion for $ doesn't seem far fetched or implausible at all in that regard. Do I want it to be paid, hell no, but with how abysmal item storage, collections, etc is and the only expansion options are paid I wouldn't be surprised if they went that route either.

Kind of true , unless you're willing to forgo the fc for a personal extended storage shell fc. Or have a dedicated shell fc banker character. And use that to mule the extra items over to that characters fc bank. It's a extra step but its a workaround for needing extra retainers

Honestly I expect it in 8.0 along with the next housing zone. Which would not surprise me if its Crystarium.
