Forum suggestion - can we get a proper notification tool?

So, it's pretty clear that this forum feels like a relic from the 2000's, with how janky it is. From formatting posts to quoting multiple people, just to mention a couple...

However, my biggest issue with it, is the lack of a very basic UX tool: a permanent notification feed (usually somewhere at the top of the screen).

It's really bad to keep track of replies to whatever you post without going through the post itself. Sometimes you get a reply in an old thread and you completely miss it because it's either in a more obscure forum side, or is an extremely busy thread that gets dozens of pages per day, or you just spend a week or so away and can't even remember where you posted without going through your profile page - which takes a good while to load. Even using the Subscribed Threads tool, you still need to go through another screen and manually babysit them to see if anything of relevance has been posted.
