Crash on start up? 'Unexpected Error (6d)' (Hardware meets Recomm specs)

Hi my partner has been really wanting to get into XIV. They've tried both steam and the SE launcher and have had a similar result on both. Black screen then it crashed to the above error code. They use Windows 11, an i7-9700k, RTX 2060S, along with 32 gb of ram and 360gb of free storage after install. No problems with any other games like Apex, DBD, Valorant, etc.

Things that we've tried:
Quitting Steam before launching
Switching Launchers (Steam -> SE)
Restore/reinstalling (7 times)
Running as admin
Update Windows
Update graphics drivers

Please be sure to install the game to the C: drive as this works best with Final Fantasy XIV. Lastly, please be sure that no background processes are interfering with FFXIV (i.e. Anti-virus software, OneDrive, Discord etc.)

If you are still experiencing an error, please provide the following:

Could you provide the exact error message received?

Are you running any addition programs alongside Final Fantasy XIV?

Please confirm the current platform (windows/steam):

When the screen crashes to black, is the PC over heating at all?

Were any update or changes made to the PC at the time of the issue?

Could you provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.
