Here's a QoL improvement that suddenly came to me as I was fishing a few months ago. I propose it would be great if they'd put how much bait you have remaining in the window when you cast, so that you can see how much bait you have left at a glance. For example, it could say something like "You cast your line at Upper Hashoeva River. (Salmon Roe remaining: 14)"
That way you don't accidentally quit fishing because you forgot to check your bait or to keep track of it.
