The 'Outfit Glamour' System is INADEQUATE!

So, Square-Enix introduced the 'Glamour Outfit' system in patch 7.1 and I've just returned to the game again, only to discover after a lot of comparing gear types that.... It's HIGHLY INADEQUATE.

*** Literally EVERY gear set type, with a specific name associated with it (e.g. Sundry Splendors Vendor gear, Eureka gear, Dungeon/Raid gear, etc.) should be able to be STORED as an Outfit! ***

This system is practically a waste of development effort unless players can free up 'Glamour Dresser' space by consolidating ACTUAL ARMOR sets together and not just the 'Level 1' glamour clothes.

It's ridiculous to me that this system was even created without the express purpose of organizing every single piece of armor in the game more effectively.

And since it DOESN'T, the only thing I can suggest at this point is to simply have a transmogrification system, much like WoW; where players collect the armor from a dungeon or wherever and the "look" is stored in a glamour database.

I'm sick and tired of going back and Re-collecting pieces because there isn't enough space to hold it all! It's crazy.

Some time ago Yoshi said something about not possible and this and that, but we can have a glamour log with the systems already in the game:

We get new achievments, fishlog, crafter log and so on with every patch. So there doesn't seem to be a shortage of memory space for these things.

We already have achievments which you get for wearing specific armor and then talking to an NPC, like grand company armor, stuff from Dzemael, deep dungeon accessories, the Garo stuff.

We also have achievments which unlock the option to buy gear at a vendor, like the seasonal event gear, quest rewards and - the Garo stuff.

The Garo gear essentially already works like a glamour log - It's all there. They maybe have to add some new UI and polish it up, but I see no reason why we can't have an NPC who logs your gear and a vendor beside it where you can buy it back.

They will implement that over time, in theory. What bothers me is the fact that you cannot dye the individual pieces outside of glamour plates...

That almost kills the system for me, because most of my stored glams are pre-dyed in an expensive color, because is much cheaper to go for other options if I want.

I have several pieces that could be Armoire items but I keep them in the dresser for just this reason. I’m not paying market board prices for jet black dye unless I have to, and I’m certainly not paying real money for that!

If at least we had, like, 50 glamour plates it would be a bit better since you'd have enough room to use expensive dyes but with only 20 it's difficult.

I hope the system will be expanded to all gear sets eventually, there are many great raid and dungeon sets that are all taking up 5 slots in my dresser or on my retainers.

Likely this was a test to see how it functions in-game and whether there would be an issues. Considering it seems to have been a success; at least the players could not see any issues on their side, perhaps SE will extend this to more than just Lv1 sets in the future. Granted we kinda need an update to this system asap but this was a good thing to try, and I saved a ton of dresser space just by being able to stack sets together.

They always say the game code can't support upgrades yet when I played anarchy online the devs there managed miracles using the outdated legacy code from 2001. I just can't believe it.

I don't bother with the outfit system because of this exact reason.
