Buff Bioblaster

In addition to what the bioblaster currently has give it:

"Additional effect: Increases the range of bioblaster to 25y while under the effects of analysis."

You realize that machinist is already the top class in pvp? There's no need to buff this one.

MCH is low tier in CC if we're talking about that, but top tier in FL. And what it needs isn't more damage, but agreed that analyzed bioblaster currently has zero purpose since it lost the heavy.

Machinist being a low mobility job with unreliable cc availability makes it very vulnerable to dives to the point where in higher ranked of Crystalline Conflict, it can be considered a troll pick.

Bioblaster is a liability for machinist as it's forcing a job with low mobility to be in close quarters, so your options are risk using it and get potentially punished, or wait until a safer opportunity arises but be locked out of the other tools until then.
Also after using Bioblaster, your only cc status effect applying skill, Air Anchor is 20 to 30 seconds away (depending on if you had a 2nd charge ready), so if the enemy decide to focus you for being in close range, your ability to stun or bind wouldn't be available when you'd need it to potentially survive.
Bard by comparison, gets to Repelling Shot every 10 seconds; a backstep that also binds the target.

I'd suggest Bioblaster either has the Analysis effect of Heavy returned to it, or Bioblaster is removed from the tools machinist cycles through, and it instead becomes a combo action available after using Scattergun (granted other balance changes may be required in this case).
The first of these would offer machinist additional options to cc and make it so machinist wouldn't be forced to use Bioblaster if it is unsafe to do so, while both would reduce the time between when it has access to any cc status effects.

I honestly wouldn't mind it applying a damage down effect if there is already too much CC in the game. BLM does this with Lethargy, SCH does this with its own virus based attacks... And it would complement with Chainsaw which does the exact opposite thing in favor of your team.

If MCH was a low tier in CC, then why almost every single game has someone playing this job? It's one of the most braindead job that you can play with because of the sheer amount of damage it can do + kills. This job just doesn't require any buffs at the moment. Top players play it because its good and damage pops off like crazy.

You have a bind and potential stun.
Drill is 18k damage with analyzed + it ignores guard. This is already serious and no other job can deal so much damage through guard. At least with basic abilities.
Chain Saw that adds huge 20% damage taken by the target which means that your LB is now even more dangerous.
Bioblaster may seem "useless" but its very good if people stack on points and in overtime. This is a killer dot.

Let's not mention Wildfire dot that can do big damage, shotgun, turret + shield. It's a bloated job.

Machinist is played a lot at lower ranks because it's much easier to get value when noone bothers it and your Wildfire target just sits in the middle of their team, but in higher ranks it will fold over when focused and people know how to play around Wildfire... and regardless of theoretical damage, a dead mch does no damage.
I don't know where you're claiming to see top players use machinist, because the general consensus I've seen on EU from other top 300 players is it performs significantly worse at this level, and I've only seen mch played by them when few people playing dive jobs are queuing up.

Also besides the (very infrequently available) bind/stun, you've just listed things that are specifically about damage, but not made an actual argument. It's easy to make every job sound broken on paper.
I feel that machinist needs better survivability to be viable at higher level play, and Bioblaster doesn't need to be yet another tool for spewing out damage: rather than applying Heavy in this crowd control heavy meta, I like the damage down effect for Analysis Bioblaster that Valence suggested (which would also mean it couldn't be cleansed).

MCH's problem isn't its damage output, it's the highest in the game. It works at low ranks, but as soon as one reach crystal and especially Omega+ games, people know how to play around it (notably wildfire or just playing around the turret), it has no mobility, no survivability and dies to anything that looks in its general direction. By this virtue it also makes the job literally unable to rotate on crystal well or assist in pushing because positioning matters so much. It's a bloated kit against low ranks that peters out past Diamond level. It doesn't mean it's unplayable above, in fact some people do have good success with it, but it's still a low tier job there.

Just to quote SE with the latest changes: Machinist win rates are unexpectedly low, and we found room for improvement in terms of their durability, so alongside adjusting maximum HP, we increased the potency of Scattergun to improve machinist's ability to handle incoming foes.

I don't know why the "unexpectedly" because we've been literally complaining about it for ages. The HP increase is something at least, but they otherwise keep increasing the job's damage output which is in my opinion only making the job even more lopsided. MCH can be incredibly oppressive when used right, but it's still struggling to not grief its own team at the same time.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Machinist has been buffed every single patch of Dawntrail because it has been in a bad spot for the entire expansion, and the job change explanations always cite the low winrate as the reason it gets buffed. Please play ranked before commenting on job balance.
