Please fix how assists are credited for battle high. It feels awful to burn useful cooldowns except someone else did it half a second faster and finished them off, and now you've burned your cooldown AND you didn't even get an assist.
It's even worse with something like MCH's limit break. Trying to use it to finish someone off is playing chicken with their HP - if they're too low there's good odds a teammate kills them before your animation finishes, and now you've just lost your limit break and didn't even get an assist for it.

08-24-2025, 06:09 AMThemarvinIt is the same for all... often having +65 assists and like 10-20 kills, for getting kills in frontline, yes you wont get them all, but you must be on the mission to get anything at all meaning if you launch the heavy stuff and stay back... it is likely that you would have a lesser chance of getting the final hit in, unless you move with and up with the group doing your part as well, that counts all jobs by the way.Quote:

If you're just missing assist credits like this, then you're not engaged enough in the fight to be earning the credit. Use your AoE's on cooldown and make sure you're always hitting multiple targets. Always keep watch for enemies who are clearly about to die, and hit them with a GCD before someone bursts them down, and you'll rack up many assists. Also keep an eye on your tanks, and when you see them acting aggressively and eventually diving in, act accordingly. One hit is all it takes. Ultimately if your team is getting kills, but you're not getting assist credit for fights you're present for, then you're actually not hitting anyone and you're not contributing as much as you feel you are.
As for MCH LB, you have to be smarter about when you're using it. Don't use it when your target is being chased down by a large number of people, because yes the target will die before your animation finishes. Focus on distant targets with low health who are being chased by fewer to no teammates, with an emphasis on the targets who are not actively recovering health. This means they don't have enough MP to heal, and there's a decent chance their barrier is also down. It can take a while to get consistent with LB, because there are so many extraneous factors in addition to bad luck with ticks.
